Government Code § 434.019","heading":"VETERANS HOSPITAL.","body":"(a) The Texas Veterans Commission and the Department of State Health Services, in collaboration with the office of the governor, shall work with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and any other appropriate federal agency to propose that the federal government establish a veterans hospital in the Rio Grande Valley region of the state.\n(b) The state may contribute money, property, and other resources to the establishment, maintenance, and operation of a veterans hospital described by this section.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 439 (H.B. 2217), Sec. 1, eff.
