Government Code § 443A.052","heading":"COMPOSITION OF COMMISSION.","body":"Text of section effective on September 01, 2027\n(a) The commission is composed of five members, as follows:\n(1) the governor;\n(2) the lieutenant governor;\n(3) the speaker of the house of representatives;\n(4) a member of the senate, appointed by the lieutenant governor; and\n(5) a member of the house of representatives, appointed by the speaker of the house of representatives.\n(b) A commission member appointed by the lieutenant governor or speaker of the house of representatives serves for a two-year term expiring on January 31 of each odd-numbered year.\nAdded by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 1159 (S.B. 3059), Sec. 6, eff.
