Government Code § 444.031","heading":"CULTURAL AND FINE ARTS DISTRICT PROGRAM.","body":"(a) The commission shall develop a cultural and fine arts district program to designate districts that significantly contribute to the culture and fine arts of this state.\n(b) The commission shall develop:\n(1) eligibility criteria for a designation under this section; and\n(2) procedures to administer the program created under this section.\n(c) A designated district or, if necessary to comply with federal eligibility requirements, a municipality or county in which a designated district is located on behalf of the district may apply for state incentives, funding, grants, and loans from state agencies, including the:\n(1) Department of Agriculture;\n(2) Texas Department of Transportation; and\n(3) office of the governor.\n(d) The commission shall assist designated districts, municipalities, and counties in applying under Subsection (c).\n(e) The commission may amend the boundaries of a designated district to include private sector development.\nAdded by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 219 (H.B. 2208), Sec. 1, eff.
