Government Code § 451.001","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this chapter:\n(1) \"1836 Project\" means the advisory committee established under this chapter.\n(2) \"Patriotic education\" includes the:\n(A) presentation of the history of this state's founding and foundational principles;\n(B) examination of how this state has grown closer to those principles throughout its history; and\n(C) explanation of why commitment to those principles is beneficial and justified.\n(3) \"State agency\" means a department, commission, board, office, or other agency in the executive branch of state government that is created by the constitution or a statute of this state.\nAdded by Acts 2021, 87th Leg., R.S., Ch. 818 (H.B. 2497), Sec. 1, eff.
