Government Code § 466.3052","heading":"PURCHASE AND SALE OF TICKETS.","body":"(a) A person commits an offense if the person intentionally or knowingly sells a ticket and the person accepts anything other than the following as payment for the ticket:\n(1) United States currency;\n(2) a negotiable instrument in the form of a check that meets the requirements of Section 3.104, Business \u0026 Commerce Code;\n(3) a debit made through a financial institution debit card;\n(4) a coupon or voucher issued by the department for purposes of purchasing a lottery ticket; or\n(5) a mail order subscription on a mail order subscription form authorized by the department.\n(b) An offense under this section is a Class C misdemeanor.\nAdded by Acts 1993, 73rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 107 (H.B. 947), Sec. 4.03(b), eff.
