Government Code § 483.102","heading":"DIRECTOR; DUTIES.","body":"(a) The governor shall employ a director of the office. The director serves at the pleasure of the governor.\n(b) The director must have demonstrated:\n(1) experience in the field of advanced nuclear energy; and\n(2) executive and organizational ability.\n(c) The director may not have any direct or indirect interests that substantially conflict with the director's duties.\n(d) The director shall:\n(1) manage the affairs of the office;\n(2) administer programs established by this chapter; and\n(3) establish appropriate milestones and standards to ensure proper use of money under this chapter.\n(e) The director may hire staff as necessary to implement the duties of the office under this chapter.\nAdded by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 1067 (H.B. 14), Sec. 1, eff.
