Government Code § 493.002","heading":"DIVISIONS.","body":"(a) The following divisions are within the department:\n(1) the community justice assistance division;\n(2) the institutional division;\n(3) the parole division; and\n(4) the rehabilitation and reentry division.\n(b) The board may establish additional divisions within the department as it determines is necessary.\n(c) Except as provided by Section 493.0052, the executive director shall hire a director for each division in the department, and each director serves at the pleasure of the executive director.\nAdded by Acts 1991, 72nd Leg., ch. 16, Sec. 10.01(a), eff.
