Government Code § 501.0921","heading":"RISK AND NEEDS ASSESSMENT INSTRUMENT.","body":"(a) The department shall adopt a standardized instrument to assess, based on criminogenic factors, the risks and needs of each offender within the adult criminal justice system.\n(b) The department shall make the risk and needs assessment instrument available for use by each community supervision and corrections department established under Chapter 76.\n(c) The department and the Windham School District shall jointly determine the duties of each entity with respect to implementing the risk and needs assessment instrument in order to efficiently use existing assessment processes.\nAdded by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 1154 (S.B. 213), Sec. 4, eff.
