Government Code § 508.081","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this subchapter:\n(1) \"Compensation\" has the meaning assigned by Section 305.002.\n(2) \"Inmate\" includes:\n(A) an administrative releasee;\n(B) an inmate imprisoned in the institutional division; and\n(C) a person confined in a county jail awaiting:\n(i) transfer to the institutional division; or\n(ii) a revocation hearing.\n(3) \"Represent\" means to directly or indirectly contact in person or by telephone, facsimile transmission, or correspondence a member or employee of the board or an employee of the department on behalf of an inmate.\nAdded by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 12.01, eff.
