Government Code § 508.227","heading":"ELECTRONIC MONITORING OF CERTAIN MEMBERS OF CRIMINAL STREET GANG.","body":"(a) This section applies only to a releasee who:\n(1) is identified as a member of a criminal street gang in an intelligence database established under Chapter 67, Code of Criminal Procedure; and\n(2) has three or more times been convicted of, or received a grant of deferred adjudication community supervision or another functionally equivalent form of community supervision or probation for, a felony offense under the laws of this state, another state, or the United States.\n(b) A parole panel may require as a condition of release on parole or to mandatory supervision that a releasee described by Subsection (a) submit to tracking under an electronic monitoring service or other appropriate technological service designed to track a person's location.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 1130 (H.B. 2086), Sec. 20, eff.
