Government Code § 53.091","heading":"EMPLOYMENT.","body":"(a) The supreme court, the court of criminal appeals, and each of the courts of appeals may employ and commission a peace officer to protect the court.\n(b) A peace officer commissioned under this section holds office at the will of the court served by the officer.\n(c) A person may not be commissioned as a peace officer under this section unless the person meets all standards for licensing as a peace officer by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.\nAdded by Acts 1993, 73rd Leg., ch. 695, Sec. 1, eff.
