Government Code § 540.0212","heading":"MONITORING COMPLIANCE WITH BEHAVIORAL HEALTH INTEGRATION.","body":"(a) In this section, \"behavioral health services\" has the meaning assigned by Section 540.0703.\n(b) In monitoring contracts the commission enters into with Medicaid managed care organizations under this chapter, the commission shall:\n(1) ensure the organizations fully integrate behavioral health services into a recipient's primary care coordination;\n(2) use performance audits and other oversight tools to improve monitoring of the provision and coordination of behavioral health services; and\n(3) establish performance measures that may be used to determine the effectiveness of the behavioral health services integration.\n(c) In monitoring a Medicaid managed care organization's compliance with behavioral health services integration requirements under this section, the commission shall give particular attention to an organization that provides behavioral health services through a contract with a third party.\nAdded by Acts 2023, 88th Leg., R.S., Ch. 769 (H.B. 4611), Sec. 1.01, eff.
