Government Code § 549.0255","heading":"PREREQUISITE TO IMPLEMENTING PRIOR AUTHORIZATION REQUIREMENT FOR CERTAIN DRUGS.","body":"Until the commission completes a study evaluating the impact of a prior authorization requirement on recipients of certain drugs, the executive commissioner shall delay requiring prior authorization for drugs that are used to treat patients with illnesses that:\n(1) are life-threatening;\n(2) are chronic; and\n(3) require complex medical management strategies.\nAdded by Acts 2023, 88th Leg., R.S., Ch. 769 (H.B. 4611), Sec. 1.01, eff.
