{"data":{"id":"us-tx/tex.-government-code-550.0151","jurisdiction":"us-tx","citation":"Tex. Government Code § 550.0151","heading":"PROGRAM ESTABLISHMENT.","body":"(a) The commission shall:\n(1) establish a program under which faith- and community-based organizations may, on an applicant's request, contact and offer supplemental assistance to the applicant for benefits under:\n(A) the financial assistance program under Chapter 31, Human Resources Code;\n(B) the medical assistance program under Chapter 32, Human Resources Code;\n(C) the supplemental nutrition assistance program under Chapter 33, Human Resources Code; or\n(D) the child health plan program under Chapter 62, Health and Safety Code; and\n(2) develop a procedure under which faith- and community-based organizations may apply to participate in the program.\n(b) At the time an individual applies for benefits described by Subsection (a), the individual must be:\n(1) informed about and given the opportunity to enroll in the program; and\n(2) informed that enrolling in the program will not affect the individual's eligibility for benefits.\nAdded by Acts 2023, 88th Leg., R.S., Ch. 769 (H.B. 4611), Sec. 1.01, eff.
