Government Code § 571.002","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this chapter:\n(1) \"Commission\" means the Texas Ethics Commission.\n(2) \"Complainant\" means an individual who files a sworn complaint with the commission.\n(2-a) \"Executive director\" means the executive director of the commission.\n(3) \"Political party\" includes only a political party required to hold a primary election under Section 172.001, Election Code.\n(4) \"Respondent\" means a person who is alleged to have committed a violation of a rule adopted by or a law administered and enforced by the commission.\nAdded by Acts 1993, 73rd Leg., ch. 268, Sec. 1, eff.
