Government Code § 571.177","heading":"FACTORS CONSIDERED FOR ASSESSMENT OF SANCTION.","body":"The commission shall consider the following factors in assessing a sanction:\n(1) the seriousness of the violation, including the nature, circumstances, consequences, extent, and gravity of the violation;\n(2) the history and extent of previous violations;\n(3) the demonstrated good faith of the violator, including actions taken to rectify the consequences of the violation;\n(4) the penalty necessary to deter future violations; and\n(5) any other matters that justice may require.\nAdded by Acts 1993, 73rd Leg., ch. 268, Sec. 1, eff.
