Government Code § 572.034","heading":"CRIMINAL PENALTY.","body":"(a) An individual commits an offense if the individual is a state officer or candidate or state party chair and knowingly and wilfully fails to file a financial statement as required by this subchapter.\n(b) An offense under this section is a Class B misdemeanor.\n(c) In a prosecution for failure to file a financial statement under this section, it is a defense that the individual did not receive copies of the financial statement form required by this subchapter to be mailed to the individual.\nAdded by Acts 1993, 73rd Leg., ch. 268, Sec. 1, eff.
