Government Code § 606.026","heading":"CONTRIBUTIONS BY POLITICAL SUBDIVISION.","body":"(a) The governing body of a political subdivision may make contributions under an agreement to obtain social security coverage.\n(b) The maximum compensation provided by statute for a county employee is not exceeded by the payment of a matching contribution by a political subdivision to obtain social security coverage for the employee.\n(c) An instrumentality of the state that receives a direct legislative appropriation may contribute, for employees covered under Subtitle C, Title 8, only funds specifically appropriated for social security coverage.\nAdded by Acts 1993, 73rd Leg., ch. 268, Sec. 1, eff.
