Government Code § 614.152","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this subchapter:\n(1) \"Fire department\" means an entity that provides fire protection to an area within the state that has 9-1-1 service as determined by the Commission on State Emergency Communications.\n(2) \"Service\" means the Texas Forest Service of The Texas A\u0026M University System.\n(3) \"State fire agency\" means the:\n(A) Office of Rural Affairs established in the Department of Agriculture;\n(B) service;\n(C) Texas Commission on Fire Protection;\n(D) Texas A\u0026M Engineering Extension Service; and\n(E) Texas State Fire Marshal's Office of the Texas Department of Insurance.\n(4) \"State fire association\" means the:\n(A) State Firemen's and Fire Marshals' Association of Texas;\n(B) Texas Fire Chiefs Association;\n(C) Texas Fire Marshals Association;\n(D) Texas State Association of Fire and Emergency Districts; and\n(E) Texas State Association of Fire Fighters.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 1215 (H.B. 1915), Sec. 1, eff.
