Government Code § 654.036","heading":"GENERAL DUTIES OF CLASSIFICATION OFFICER.","body":"The classification officer shall:\n(1) maintain and keep current the position classification plan;\n(2) advise and assist state agencies in equitably and uniformly applying the plan;\n(3) conduct classification compliance audits to ensure conformity with the plan; and\n(4) make recommendations that the classification officer finds necessary and desirable about the operation and for improvement of the plan to the governor and the legislature.\nAdded by Acts 1993, 73rd Leg., ch. 268, Sec. 1, eff.
