Government Code § 659.108","heading":"WITHHOLDING OF ADMINISTRATIVE FEE.","body":"(a) The state may withhold from the employee's salary or wage payment an administrative fee for making a deduction under this subchapter.\n(b) An institution of higher education that is authorized to operate a payroll system reimbursable from the state treasury may withhold from the employee's salary or wage payment an administrative fee for making the deduction under this subchapter.\n(c) The administrative fee may not exceed the lower of the actual administrative cost of making the deduction or the highest fee charged by the state or institution, as appropriate, for making another similar deduction.\nAdded by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 76, Sec. 5.16(a), eff.
