Government Code § 659.149","heading":"FUND-RAISING PRACTICES.","body":"The fund-raising practices of a participating charitable organization must:\n(1) be truthful and consumer-oriented;\n(2) clearly identify and distinguish community-based organizations from statewide and international organizations; and\n(3) ensure protection against:\n(A) unauthorized use of a list of contributors to the organization;\n(B) payment of commissions, kickbacks, finder fees, percentages, bonuses, or overrides for fund-raising;\n(C) mailing of unordered merchandise or tickets with a request for money in return; and\n(D) general telephone solicitation of the public.\nAdded by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 76, Sec. 5.17(a), eff.
