Government Code § 661.005","heading":"WITHDRAWAL OF TIME FROM POOL.","body":"(a) An employee may apply to the pool administrator for permission to withdraw time from the sick leave pool.\n(b) If the employee is seeking permission to withdraw time because of a catastrophic illness or injury, the employee must provide the pool administrator with a written statement from the licensed practitioner who is treating the employee or the employee's immediate family member. The statement must provide sufficient information regarding the illness or injury to enable the pool administrator to evaluate the employee's eligibility.\n(c) If the pool administrator determines that the employee is eligible, the administrator shall:\n(1) approve the transfer of time from the pool to the employee; and\n(2) credit the time to the employee.\nAdded by Acts 1993, 73rd Leg., ch. 268, Sec. 1, eff.
