Government Code § 662.004","heading":"MINIMUM NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES NEEDED TO CONDUCT BUSINESS.","body":"(a) A state agency and an institution of higher education as defined by Section 61.003, Education Code, shall have enough employees on duty during a state holiday to conduct the public business of the agency or institution.\n(b) This section does not apply to a state holiday that falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the Friday after Thanksgiving Day, or the 24th or 26th day of December.\nAdded by Acts 1993, 73rd Leg., ch. 268, Sec. 1, eff.
