Government Code § 662.049","heading":"PUBLIC SCHOOL PARAPROFESSIONAL DAY.","body":"(a) The second Wednesday in May of each year is Public School Paraprofessional Day in recognition of education paraprofessionals including teacher assistants, instructional aides, educational trainers, library attendants, bilingual assistants, special education associates, mentors, and tutors.\n(b) Public School Paraprofessional Day shall be regularly observed by appropriate ceremonies and activities in the public schools and other places to properly recognize the paraprofessionals who have made tremendous contributions to the educational process.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 287, Sec. 1, eff.
