Government Code § 775.003","heading":"COLONIA OMBUDSPERSON PROGRAM.","body":"The colonia initiatives coordinator shall appoint a colonia ombudsperson in:\n(1) each of the six border counties that the coordinator determines have the largest colonia populations; and\n(2) each additional county any part of which is within 100 miles of an international border and that contains the majority of the area of a municipality with a population of more than 250,000.\nAdded by Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 404, Sec. 44, eff.
