Government Code § 81.030","heading":"GENERAL COUNSEL.","body":"(a) The board of directors, by a majority vote, elects the general counsel of the state bar. The general counsel holds office at the pleasure of the board.\n(b) The general counsel must be a member of the state bar.\n(c) The general counsel shall perform the duties usually expected of and performed by a general counsel.\n(d) The general counsel shall perform those duties delegated by the board of directors.\nAdded by Acts 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 148, Sec. 3.01, eff.
