Government Code § 81.031","heading":"CONFLICT OF INTEREST.","body":"(a) The executive director and the general counsel of the state bar are subject to Chapter 572.\n(b) A person may not serve as a member of the board of directors or as the general counsel to the state bar if the person is required to register as a lobbyist under Chapter 305, Government Code, because of the person's activities for compensation on behalf of a profession related to the operation of the state bar.\nAdded by Acts 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 148, Sec. 3.01, eff.
