Government Code § 81.091","heading":"COMMITTEE ON PROFESSIONAL ETHICS.","body":"(a) The professional ethics committee consists of nine members of the state bar appointed by the supreme court.\n(b) Members serve three-year terms with the terms of three members expiring each year.\n(c) The supreme court shall designate a chairperson of the committee who serves for one year.\n(d) This chapter does not prohibit the supreme court from appointing members of the judicial department to the committee.\nAdded by Acts 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 148, Sec. 3.01, eff.
