Government Code § 814.101","heading":"APPLICATION FOR SERVICE RETIREMENT BENEFITS.","body":"(a) A member may apply for a service retirement annuity by filing an application for retirement with the board of trustees.\n(b) An application for a service retirement annuity may not be made:\n(1) after the date the member wishes to retire; or\n(2) more than 90 days before the date the member wishes to retire.\nActs 1981, 67th Leg., p. 1876, ch. 453, Sec. 1, eff.
