Government Code § 845.114","heading":"DEFINITION OF PARTICIPANT; OBTAINING INFORMATION.","body":"(a) In this chapter, \"participant\" means a member, former member, retiree, annuitant, beneficiary, or alternate payee of the retirement system.\n(b) The retirement system shall obtain from participants and subdivisions information necessary for the proper operation and administration of the system.\n(c) Each participant and subdivision shall timely provide to the retirement system in the form and manner specified by the system information the board of trustees determines to be necessary for the proper operation and administration of the system.\nActs 1981, 67th Leg., p. 1876, ch. 453, Sec. 1, eff.
