Health and Safety Code § 121.022","heading":"QUALIFICATIONS.","body":"(a) A health authority must be:\n(1) a competent physician with a reputable professional standing who is legally qualified to practice medicine in this state; and\n(2) a resident of this state.\n(b) To be qualified to serve as a health authority, the appointee must:\n(1) take and subscribe to the official oath; and\n(2) file a copy of the oath and appointment with the department.\nActs 1989, 71st Leg., ch. 678, Sec. 1, eff.
