Health and Safety Code § 13.043","heading":"GRATUITIES PROHIBITED.","body":"(a) A patient in a public health hospital may not offer an officer, agent, or employee of the hospital a tip, payment, or reward of any kind.\n(b) A patient who violates this section may be expelled from the hospital. An employee who accepts a tip, payment, or reward of any kind from a patient may be discharged.\n(c) The department shall strictly enforce this section.\nActs 1989, 71st Leg., ch. 678, Sec. 1, eff.
