Health and Safety Code § 242.051","heading":"NOTIFICATION OF AWARD OF EXEMPLARY DAMAGES.","body":"(a) If exemplary damages are awarded under Chapter 41, Civil Practice and Remedies Code, against an institution or an officer, employee, or agent of an institution, the court shall notify the department.\n(b) If the department receives notice under Subsection (a), the department shall maintain the information contained in the notice in the records of the department relating to the history of the institution.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1284, Sec. 2.01, eff.
