Health and Safety Code § 242.154","heading":"NURSING SERVICES.","body":"(a) An institution shall provide the nursing care required to allow each resident to achieve and maintain the highest possible degree of function and independence medically possible.\n(b) The institution shall maintain sufficient staff to provide nursing and related services:\n(1) in accordance with each resident's plan of care; and\n(2) to obtain and maintain the physical, mental, and psychosocial functions of each resident at the highest practicable level, as determined by the resident's assessment and plan of care.\nAdded by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 1159, Sec. 1.30, eff.
