Health and Safety Code § 281.031","heading":"REMOVAL OF BOARD MEMBER.","body":"(a) A member of the board of hospital managers of the El Paso County Hospital District is considered to have resigned the member's position if the member:\n(1) is absent from all the regularly scheduled board and committee meetings that the member is eligible to attend during a 90-day period;\n(2) is absent from more than half of the regularly scheduled board and committee meetings that the member is eligible to attend during a 12-month period;\n(3) fails to pay a local tax, including an ad valorem tax, when due; or\n(4) would be ineligible to serve on the board as provided by Section 281.0222.\n(b) A resignation under Subsection (a) is effective immediately on the date the absence, disqualifying conduct, or ineligibility specified by Subsection (a) occurs or exists.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 206 (S.B. 534), Sec. 3, eff.
