Health and Safety Code § 433.009","heading":"FEES.","body":"The department may collect fees for overtime and special services rendered to establishments, and may collect a fee for services required to be performed under this chapter relating to the inspection of animals, birds, or products that are not regulated under the Federal Meat Inspection Act (21 U.S.C. Section 601 et seq.) or the Federal Poultry Products Inspection Act (21 U.S.C. Section 451 et seq.). The executive commissioner by rule shall set the inspection fee in an amount sufficient to recover the department's costs of providing those services.\nActs 1989, 71st Leg., ch. 678, Sec. 1, eff.
