Health and Safety Code § 436.071","heading":"MISBRANDED MOLLUSCAN SHELLFISH AND CRABMEAT.","body":"Molluscan shellfish or crabmeat is misbranded if:\n(1) its labeling is false, misleading, or fails to conform with the requirements of Section 436.081;\n(2) it is offered for sale under the name of another food;\n(3) its container is made, formed, or filled so as to be misleading;\n(4) a word, statement, or other information required by this chapter or a rule adopted under this chapter to appear on a label is not prominently and conspicuously placed on the label and is not likely to be read and understood by the ordinary individual under customary conditions of purchase and use; or\n(5) it does not have a label containing:\n(A) the name, address, and certification or license number of the processor;\n(B) an accurate statement in a uniform location on the principal display panel of the quantity of the contents in terms of weight, measure, or numerical count; and\n(C) a date as provided by department rules.\nAdded by Acts 1993, 73rd Leg., ch. 336, Sec. 1, eff.
