Health and Safety Code § 440.012","heading":"LICENSE.","body":"(a) A person desiring to operate an establishment for the manufacture of a frozen dessert, imitation frozen dessert, product sold in semblance of a frozen dessert, or a mix for one of those products may apply to the department for a license. A license shall be granted under the department's procedural rules and shall be issued only for the purpose and use as stated on the application for a license.\n(b) The department shall inspect the establishment under Section 440.031 before issuing a license.\n(c) A license may not be issued to a person who does not comply with the standards prescribed by department rule under this chapter.\n(d) A license issued under this chapter must be renewed every two years in accordance with department rules.\nAdded by Acts 1991, 72nd Leg., ch. 14, Sec. 167, eff.
