Health and Safety Code § 532.001","heading":"DEFINITIONS; MENTAL HEALTH COMPONENTS OF DEPARTMENT.","body":"(a) In this chapter:\n(1) \"Commissioner\" means the commissioner of state health services.\n(2) \"Department\" means the Department of State Health Services.\n(b) The department includes community services operated by the department and the following facilities:\n(1) the central office of the department;\n(2) the Austin State Hospital;\n(3) the Big Spring State Hospital;\n(4) the Kerrville State Hospital;\n(5) the Rusk State Hospital;\n(6) the San Antonio State Hospital;\n(7) the Terrell State Hospital;\n(8) the Vernon State Hospital;\n(9) the Rio Grande State Center;\n(10) the Waco Center for Youth;\n(11) the El Paso Psychiatric Center;\n(12) the Wichita Falls State Hospital;\n(13) the Panhandle State Hospital; and\n(14) the Lubbock Psychiatric Center.\nAdded by Acts 1991, 72nd Leg., ch. 76, Sec. 1, eff.
