Health and Safety Code § 551.001","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this subtitle:\n(1) \"Commission\" means the Health and Human Services Commission.\n(2) \"Commissioner\" means:\n(A) the commissioner of state health services in relation to mental health services; and\n(B) the commissioner of aging and disability services in relation to intellectual disability services.\n(3) \"Department\" means:\n(A) the Department of State Health Services in relation to mental health services; and\n(B) the Department of Aging and Disability Services in relation to intellectual disability services.\n(4) \"Department facility\" means:\n(A) a facility for persons with mental illness under the jurisdiction of the Department of State Health Services; and\n(B) a facility for persons with an intellectual disability under the jurisdiction of the Department of Aging and Disability Services.\n(5) \"Executive commissioner\" means the executive commissioner of the Health and Human Services Commission.\nAdded by Acts 1991, 72nd Leg., ch. 76, Sec. 1, eff.
