Health and Safety Code § 571.0065","heading":"TREATMENT METHODS.","body":"(a) The executive commissioner by rule may adopt procedures for an advisory committee to review treatment methods for persons with mental illness.\n(b) A state agency that has knowledge of or receives a complaint relating to an abusive treatment method shall report that knowledge or forward a copy of the complaint to the department.\n(c) A mental health facility, physician, or other mental health professional is not liable for an injury or other damages sustained by a person as a result of the failure of the facility, physician, or professional to administer or perform a treatment prohibited by statute or rules adopted by the executive commissioner.\nAdded by Acts 1993, 73rd Leg., ch. 573, Sec. 3.01(a), eff.
