Health and Safety Code § 574.154","heading":"PARTICIPATION IN RESEARCH PROGRAM.","body":"Notwithstanding any other law, a person described by Section 574.151 may not participate in a research program in the inpatient mental health facility unless:\n(1) the patient provides written consent to participate in the research program under a protocol that has been approved by the facility's institutional review board; and\n(2) the institutional review board specifically reviews the patient's consent under the approved protocol.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1309, Sec. 1, eff.
