Health and Safety Code § 579.152","heading":"POWERS AND DUTIES.","body":"A district may, if necessary to provide mental health services to the residents of the creating hospital districts:\n(1) acquire and hold title to, construct, operate, manage, and maintain real property, including improvements to real property;\n(2) acquire, operate, manage, and maintain equipment and other personal property;\n(3) enter into and perform contracts;\n(4) appoint and employ officers, agents, and employees;\n(5) sue and be sued;\n(6) seek and accept gifts, grants, and donations; and\n(7) perform other acts necessary to accomplish the purpose of the district.\nAdded by Acts 2023, 88th Leg., R.S., Ch. 120 (H.B. 492), Sec. 1, eff.
