Health and Safety Code § 593.029","heading":"TREATMENT OF MINOR WHO REACHES MAJORITY.","body":"When a facility resident who is voluntarily admitted as a minor approaches 18 years of age and continues to be in need of residential services, the facility director shall ensure that when the resident becomes an adult:\n(1) the resident's legally adequate consent for admission to the facility is obtained from the resident or the guardian of the person; or\n(2) an application is filed for court commitment under Subchapter C.\nAdded by Acts 1991, 72nd Leg., ch. 76, Sec. 1, eff.
