Health and Safety Code § 593.056","heading":"APPEAL.","body":"(a) A party to a commitment proceeding has the right to appeal the judgment to the appropriate court of appeals.\n(b) The Texas Rules of Civil Procedure apply to an appeal under this section.\n(c) An appeal under this section shall be given a preference setting.\n(d) The county court may grant a stay of commitment pending appeal.\nAdded by Acts 1991, 72nd Leg., ch. 76, Sec. 1, eff.
