Health and Safety Code § 61.005","heading":"CONTRIBUTION TOWARD COST OF ASSISTANCE.","body":"(a) A county, public hospital, or hospital district may request an eligible resident receiving health care assistance under this chapter to contribute a nominal amount toward the cost of the assistance.\n(b) The county, public hospital, or hospital district may not deny or reduce assistance to an eligible resident who cannot or refuses to contribute.\nActs 1989, 71st Leg., ch. 678, Sec. 1, eff.
