Health and Safety Code § 775.118","heading":"CRIMINAL PENALTY; CONTEMPT OF FIRE INVESTIGATION.","body":"(a) A person commits an offense if the person is a witness in connection with an investigation by the fire marshal and:\n(1) refuses to be sworn;\n(2) refuses to appear and testify; or\n(3) fails to produce to the fire marshal any document or item relating to an investigation under this subchapter.\n(b) An offense under this section is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than $25.\nAdded by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 272, Sec. 5, eff.
