Health and Safety Code § 81.066","heading":"CONCEALING COMMUNICABLE DISEASE OR EXPOSURE TO COMMUNICABLE DISEASE; CRIMINAL PENALTY.","body":"(a) A person commits an offense if the person knowingly conceals or attempts to conceal from the department, a health authority, or a peace officer, during the course of an investigation under this chapter, the fact that:\n(1) the person has, has been exposed to, or is the carrier of a communicable disease that is a threat to the public health; or\n(2) a minor child or incompetent adult of whom the person is a parent, managing conservator, or guardian has, has been exposed to, or is the carrier of a communicable disease that is a threat to the public health.\n(b) An offense under this section is a Class B misdemeanor.\nActs 1989, 71st Leg., ch. 678, Sec. 1, eff.
