Health and Safety Code § 81.164","heading":"APPOINTMENT OF ATTORNEY.","body":"(a) The judge or designated magistrate shall appoint an attorney to represent a person who is the subject of a protective custody order who does not have an attorney when the order is signed.\n(b) Within a reasonable time before a hearing is held under Section 81.165, the court that ordered the protective custody shall provide the person and the person's attorney with a written notice that states:\n(1) that the person has been placed under a protective custody order;\n(2) the grounds for the order; and\n(3) the time and place of the hearing to determine probable cause.\nActs 1989, 71st Leg., ch. 678, Sec. 1, eff.
